CHANEL BEAR ON THE STREET

The latest Chanel Fall 2010 show showed two polar bear costume by two male models. US Elle’s creative director Joe Zee wore it down on the street and it’s very VERY interesting to see what the public thought about the snowman costume.

Fashion-forward but out of control

As an outsider, we cannot attend fashion show but we will try different kinds of ways to have a first look of them. In these few seasons, fashion on the internet is fast-forward a lot. From the spring 2008 season, the fastest way to see the first look of the runway usually we will find it on gettyimages era (few hours after the show), then the fastest way moving onto twitter era (few minutes after the show), then moving onto live fashion shows (same time). Even now, 3D live fashion show through facebook or official website.

As offering these much treats to the customers, is there anything left to offer in the future? Louis Vuitton has move onto the “Behind-the-scene” or so-called ”Core Value” that offering never seen before footage of making the bag or clothes. I think the future is kind of hard to find more ways to attract the customers especially revealing more and more information about this industry. Then in the future will any normal customers can actually pay to the fashion shows or even open a section for public? This is starting out of control of this “fast-forward” pacing of revealing in this fashion industry. In my opinion, keeping those little secrets are what make me interest about this industry. Probably Karl Lagerfeld said it right “It’s you adapt the change not changes adapt to you.”

Leather Packaging

I think this concept is already been played long time ago, but to me, it’s always refreshing. It’s the idea of turning our daily paper packaging boxes but made in leather. It’s really interesting how the form and the texture and touches of the new leather packaging as an accessories. Now Spooner And Watts did a variety versions of that.
