Archive for October, 2010

As the fashion month past, the new collection accessories and shoes are fully revealed. I selected the best shoes in this season to share with you. These shoes are iconic and definitely worth to buy for the upcoming season!
1. Alexander McQueen
After Sarah Burton took over McQueen for her ever first directed collection, the fetish of a McQueen women definitely turn down and becoming more approachable without losing it’s original extravaganza. Using the old McQueen elements and recreate the new definition of McQueen women, you can see that throughout the shoes and clothes in the whole collection. Butterfly embroidery and the floral craftsmanship is definitely worth a second look and state that it is an art piece.

2. Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte
As the collection move back to their roots and toned down their fantastical and yet complicated patchwork of sewing, the clothes are definitely more structural with a sharp clean cut. Yet, by using wood crafts, golden embroidery, 70s pumps, thick wedges, their shoes from Nicholas Kirkwood are definitely continue with their fantasy.

3. Lanvin
This illusion killer heels is definitely worth buying it for a killer moment. The first time I saw these shoes I thought there are no support under the sole but actually there is an transparent acrylic cleverly supported under it. The metal embellishment is extraordinary killing and forget about the pain, just enjoy the killing moment. The other pair is without the acrylic, but the L metal stiletto is just killing again!

4. Maison Martin Margiela
Their accessories always famous for its humorous element. This time they play around with the topless illusion. It’s very clever to play around with it by just supported with a nude strap. But there is a concern that when it rains, the shoes is definitely not worth for wearing in that condition.

5. Pierre Hardy for Balenciaga
English rock chic, woman as man, is the whole theme of the collection. This time Pierre Hardy using metallic material to play around this theme. Also, the cutout of the boots are very wearable and very Balenciaga. What I mean is very strong femininity with a slight of masculinity.

6. Giambattista Valli
Flats is so hit this season, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Missoni… are doing flats. Giambattista Valli is also doing flats, but the metallic cover is so damn fierce and making the foot much more slimmer. It’s also available in Leopard print which is so hit this and next season.

7. Versus
Christopher Kane is doing Versus really well. As using plaids and floral prints this season, the shoes actually is very colorful applying on oxford touches.

8. Christopher Kane
Neon lace, contrast colors is what you can see in his collection this season. The shoes reflect that also, using contrast muted neon colors as the element of the shoes. I am also loving with the knots at the back and also the strap around the ankle.

9. Viktor & Rolf
This season they focus on collar, but their shoes are mainly focus at 70s pumps. But the hot killing red is definitely worth for a look and the jade green is also a lovely color to choose for.
